Following the successes of previous summits in London, Lagos and Abuja, CODUB in collaboration with UK Trade and Investment (UKTI), the Nigeria High Commission, London and our Strategic Partner, Total Facilities Management Limited (TFML), will be hosting the Asset and Waste Management Summit at the NAF Conference Centre and Suites, Abuja from 29th to 30th June, 2016.
The summit theme is “Resource Efficiency: Asset to Waste…Waste to Wealth…A Sustainable Future”. As part of the gathering of over 400 professionals, we will bring together local and international delegates within the Asset Management and Waste Management space to discuss and proffer solutions to the on-going challenges facing lack of maintenance, rising waste issues and alternative sources of energy.
There would be excellent networking opportunities during the summit including a cocktail reception with the British High Commissioner that will attract key players from the government, power, oil & gas, real estate, transport, banking, manufacturing and telecoms sectors.
His Excellency, General Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria recently made a statement, which resonates with the theme of our summit, when he said:
“We’ll Ensure Environmental Justice for Sustainable Growth”
Discussions and training sessions will be on private and public industry concerns and issues especially around operations and maintenance, how to reduce operating costs, how to increase the economic life of capital equipment and how to reduce company liability. Some of the sessions will provide a learning platform to introduce participants to the importance of the International Standards on Waste Management (ISO14001).
